History

The origins of pudding date back to the 14th century England: here the English were used to preparing porridge with boiled beef or mutton with the addition of currants, raisins, plums, wine and other spices.

In the 1500s there was the first addition of ingredients such as eggs, bread and various liqueurs. The first pudding more like a pudding dates back to Middle Ages with the Christmas tradition of Christmas pudding which involved adding almond flour and dried fruit to the rest of the ingredients.

Over the years, the preparation has remained the same even if it has seen the increase of variations such as the popular Chocolate Pudding or Apple Pudding.
