Nintendo regularly uses live streaming events to notify players of important updates and upcoming games. And now, the company has confirmed that we will have a new 40-minute Nintendo Direct on Thursday, September 23rd.
The broadcast will start tomorrow at 3pm PT / 6pm ET. To see it, all you need to do is tune into Nintendo’s official YouTube channel.
As usual, we don’t know exactly what Nintendo will cover until streaming is over. But they have promised to focus on the games that launch this winter, and that means there are a lot of titles they could discuss.
Many fans are hoping to learn more about anticipated titles like Pokémon Legends: Arceus and Splatoon 3. And hardcore Mario fans want to see more Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope gameplay. Finally, the hope is eternal that we will learn more about a Breath of the Wild sequel.
Of course, there are other highly anticipated titles on the horizon, including Metroid 4. But given that this game is unlikely to come out this year, it is equally unlikely that we will hear much about it during Nintendo Direct.
There are also rumors that the Nintendo 64 games will arrive on Nintendo’s online service. Retro gamers are hoping to get a confirmation of this and perhaps even an announcement about a Nintendo 64-style controller for the Switch.
What do you hope to learn from this event? Be sure to let us know in the comments!
