The Entertainment Software Association has announced that the Official E3 Awards Show will take place on Tuesday, June 15, the last day of E3 2021. The broadcast schedule for the event has not yet been announced.
E3 2021 will take place entirely online for free from 12 to 15 June. The editors of IGN, GameSpot, PC Gamer and GamesRadar + will choose the winners of the awards, choosing from the games presented during the four days of the event. They determine each participating publisher and developer ‘Most Awaited’ titles, as well as choose an overall ‘Most Awaited’ game for E3 2021.
“For this year’s event, we are partnering with editors from some of the world’s leading video game media to create the Official E3 2021 Awards Show, recognizing the show’s most anticipated games,” said Stanley Pierre-Louis, president and CEO of ESA, at a publication press conference. “The broadcast will be filled with exciting announcements and revelations, and celebrating innovative publishers and developers is the ideal way to close E3 2021.”
The official E3 Twitter account later clarified that the “broadcast … with exciting announcements and revelations” refers to the entire digital event of E3 and not just the awards ceremony.
E3 2021 will be presented by Greg Miller, Jacki Jing and Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez.
You can stream the event live starting June 12 on the official E3 Twitch, YouTube, Twitter and Facebook channels, as well as via the official E3 2021 portal and app. Visit the official E3 website 2021 for more details.
