EA has revealed that FIFA 22, the latest installment in its long-running football streak, will launch worldwide on October 1st. The game will also include a brand new animation system known as Hypermotion.

FIFA 22 will be available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, with a preview version coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S, with a premium price of $ 70.

However, the next generation version of the game will also feature the Hypermotion animation system, which is not available on previous consoles. The technology uses motion sensor data acquired from 22 professional footballers and a machine learning algorithm to create real-time animations.

The publisher also announced that French star Kylian Mbappe will be the FIFA 22 cover athlete. He currently plays for Parisian team PSG and was a prominent member of the French national team during the recent Euro 2020 tournament.
