Sony’s Santa Monica Studio, the developer responsible for the God of War series, is recruiting staff for a brand new project that has not yet been announced.

Speaking on Twitter, the studio revealed it is looking to hire an experienced Art Director for the upcoming game. The tweet asks those who can “lead and inspire our team to deliver best-in-class visual quality” to apply for the position.

The Santa Monica Studio recently released the 2018 God of War reboot to widespread critical and commercial success. Fans already know that the developer is working on a sequel to that game. Commonly known as Ragnarok in the industry, the second installment of the new series will launch on the PlayStation 5 at some point in 2021.

However, this second unannounced project was completely unknown until Tuesday, when the Santa Monica Studio confirmed its existence. Unfortunately, the company hasn’t released any further details on the game or how far it is in terms of development.

It is unusual for Sony’s first-party developers to work on more than one title at a time, suggesting that this new project may still be in its early stages or that the God of War sequel is nearing the final stages of its development.
