The 2021 Game Awards will premiere tonight in front of live audiences and around the world. And we have all the information you need to know to tune in and discover the big winners.
The show is once again hosted by Geoff Keighley and the event takes place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. As usual, the event will be a mix between the presentation of in-game rewards in different categories and the announcement of new games that players can look forward to.
The Game Awards seem to get bigger every year and there is no shortage of celebrities appearing at this event. This includes movie stars like Keanu Reeves and Simu Liu along with celebrities the gaming community loves (including beloved former Nintendo president Reggie Fils-Aime). Famous Faces will also provide music, with performances by Sting and Imagine Dragons. Sting is a particularly nerdy addition because he will sing his song “What Could Have Been” from Netflix’s surprise hit show. Arcane: A League Of Legends Story.
When does The Game Awards live stream start?
The main show starts at 5pm PT / 8pm ET. But if you want some additional content, the pre-show actually starts at 4:30 PM PT / 7:30 PM ET. There will also be a minimum of 40 new game announcements, and Geoff Keighley has promised that at least five of these announcements will be noteworthy as Elden Ring.
