Xiaomi unveiled HyperOS 2 in China yesterday, and along with the new software came a list of devices that will receive it as an update and a rough timeline of when it will arrive on each model.

Today, a supposed list of the first international devices to receive HyperOS 2 was leaked. Rather confusingly, the list says that all of these phones will receive the new skin “by the first quarter of 2025” – which could mean “before the first quarter of 2025”, in which case it is better to formulate it as “by the end of 2024”, or it could even actually (perhaps more likely) I mean by the end of the first quarter, i.e. March 31st.

If so, there’s definitely a long wait ahead for owners of one of these – on the other hand, long waits for updates are nothing new for owners of Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco phones.

In any case, as you can see, the list includes the logical suspects: the Xiaomi 14 series, the Xiaomi 14T family, the Xiaomi 13T line, the Xiaomi 13 devices, as well as the Poco F6 series, Poco X6 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 13 and the Redmi 12 and Redmi 13 ranges. These add up to quite a few devices.

It is not yet clear whether the international version of HyperOS 2 will have its own launch event or not. The Chinese iteration includes many general optimizations and a number of AI features, so we expect the global variant to be similar.
