Amazfit, a health and fitness-focused smart wearable brand that is part of health tech company Zepp Health, announced its first smart ring at the ongoing CES 2024. It’s called Amazfit Helio Ring.
The Amazfit Helio Ring is developed for athletes and focuses on providing them with the recovery support needed to improve their performance. Amazfit says the Helio Ring can “monitor comprehensive data regarding the user’s mental and physical condition with an accuracy only possible from a wearable device worn on the finger.”
The data collected by the Amazfit Helio Ring is made “actionable” with the Zepp app, which turns it into an intuitive readiness score to help athletes determine whether they should focus on activity or recovery.
The Amazfit Helio Ring can be worn as a standalone device or as a free device together with an Amazfit smartwatch. In the latter case, the ring and smartwatch data will be merged for deeper analysis in the Zepp app.
The Helio Ring will include a free 3-month trial of the Zepp Aura rest and wellness service to help athletes improve recovery and performance. The smart ring will also come with the usual array of health and fitness features, including sleep tracking and heart rate monitoring. It will also support some sports modes and will be equipped with an EDA (electrodermal activity) sensor for emotional monitoring.
Amazfit Helio ring
The Amazfit Helio Ring is made of skin-friendly titanium alloy and has a water resistance of 10 ATM. The smart ring will be available in two sizes: 10 and 12, weighing 3.8 g and 4 g respectively. Amazfit didn’t reveal the size of the Helio Ring’s battery, but said current tests suggest it can last up to five days on a single charge.
Zepp Clarity Pixie
In addition to the Helio Ring, Zepp Group also announced the “virtually invisible” Zepp Clarity Pixie hearing aids for people with mild to moderate hearing impairments.
Zepp Clarity Pixies feature medical-grade silicone domes and a titanium alloy casing, with each bud weighing 1.1g. The earbuds are IPX7 rated and offer ambient noise cancellation.
The Zepp Clarity Pixies are advertised with 17 hours of battery life and can be fully charged in 2.5 hours via the USB-C port. Although the charging case also supports wireless charging.
The Zepp Clarity Pixie is priced at $1,999 and is available on Zepp’s website. The Amazfit Helio Ring will go on sale in March, when its price will also be revealed.
