In early April 20, Verizon sent out an update to its LTE variant of the Samsung Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic. Online documentation initially released with feature update screenshots that enabled Google Assistant on the two Watch4 models. The assistant has disappeared since smartwatches were launched despite running WearOS 3.0.

However, following the update, users were puzzled to find that the update would not bring Google Assistant. It wasn’t up The border contacted Google for clarification on the absence of the feature. A Google spokesperson responded with the following statement.

Verizon’s release notes have been updated to exclude the addition of the Google Assistant. Other updates to the Galaxy Watch4 include support for backup and restore with Smart Switch.
