So far the leaks of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra are somewhat expected: camera update, design changes, faster charging, etc. But the latest report is a bit shocking. According to a reliable informant Ice universethe upcoming Galaxy S24 Ultra will feature a flat display instead of a curved one.
Samsung was the first to introduce a curved screen design in 2014 when the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge was born, while later moving the entire Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S9 lineup to curved glass. The company has since reinstated the flat screen for the lower members of the flagship range, and now it may be giving the more premium one the same treatment.
Ice Universe claims the Galaxy S24 Ultra will be 79mm wide, which can only be explained by the move to a flat screen. The Galaxy S23 Ultra is 78.1mm wide thanks to its curved edges, and the bezels are extremely unlikely to actually grow.
However, we still don’t take anything for granted. Samsung may just go for a bigger screen, which explains the discrepancy.
