Welcome to the tech recap of the week. Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra will have more than 12GB of RAM. A Samsung vice president used the company’s earnings call to reveal that the Galaxy S25 series will have high-end cameras, displays, and chipsets.
The Google Pixel 9 rumor mill has been heating up in recent weeks. This week, we got a hands-on video of the Pixel 9 Pro XL and size comparisons with popular phones like the Pixel 8 Pro and Galaxy S24 Ultra. A leak detailed the phones’ storage, software, and charging. Expect 7 years of feature drops, but the phones will launch with Android 14, as 15 is still being finalized.
All phones will start with 128GB of storage, while the Pixel 9 will come in at 256GB and the Pros will have 256/512GB/1TB. As for RAM, the regular will have 12GB, while the Pros will have 16GB. Charging will top out at 45W.
The battery may not change, but the amount of memory does.
Samsung MX Vice President said this during the recent financial results conference call, without clarifying whether he was referring to the entire S25 series or just the Ultra series.
The official announcement will be in a couple of weeks, but there have been numerous leaks, and this one might be the most comprehensive.
