In his latest Power On newsletter, Blomberg’s Mark Gurman predicts that the Vision Pro will likely debut “around March.” This is the most solid run we’ve had for the $3,499 headphones so far.
Gurman shares that Apple intended to release the Vision Pro in January 2024, but the company is still behind on deployment plans and final testing.
Apple will reportedly sell the Vision Pro by appointment at its retail stores and on its website. The headphones will not be available with third-party partners as Apple wants to carefully curate the Vision Pro launch.
The Vision Pro comes with a variety of SKUs, including prescription lenses and headbands in different sizes, making it difficult to keep stock in many brick-and-mortar stores.
Apple is slowly preparing the launch of Vision Pro: the latest visionOS beta includes onboarding materials, including videos, while the iOS 17.2 beta has Vision Pro features like AirPlay receiver and spatial video support on iPhone 15 models Pro.
