The Honor Magic4 series made its debut in February, so it’s almost time for the new series. We’ve seen a few leaks that indicate that the premium Magic5 model will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. But there will also be a budget “lite” model, and that will use a lower-powered chip: a Snapdragon 695, according to Google Play Console.

The Honor Magic4 Lite also used a Snapdragon 695, but this appears to be a different version of the chip. The six small Cortex-A55-derived cores run at 1.8GHz instead of the standard 1.7GHz. The two Cortex-A78-based big cores run at 2.2GHz, like on the original chip.
Honor has already used this chipset, by the way, the Honor X9 5G also has its own small cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. Apart from that, the X9 is almost identical to the Magic4 Lite (moreover, the two are launched within a week).
Honor Magic5 Lite specifications on Google Play Console
Magic5 Lite (also known as Honor HNRMO-Q and RMO-NX1) runs Android 12 and includes 8GB of RAM, according to GPC information. Furthermore, it has an FHD+ display (1,080 x 2,400 px, 20:9). Dimensions aren’t known at the moment, but the 2022 model had a large 6.81-inch LCD and that should be in the same ballpark. From the image posted by GPC it seems that the new model will have a curved display (the Magic4 Lite had a flat display).
Considering the launch isn’t too far in the future, we should start seeing more details about the upcoming Honor Magic5 series soon.
