Infinix today unveiled the Hot 12 series and its pioneer is called Hot 12i. Apparently it’s the lowest position of the trio and it’s an entry level affair through and through.
The Infinix Hot 12i has a Helio A22 chipset with a 2.0 GHz quad-core CPU. On paper, the RAM goes up to 4 GB, but currently the company only offers 2 GB and 3 GB options. The storage is 64GB and there is a dedicated microSD slot to expand it.
The brand hasn’t revealed much about the cameras – we know the main shooter is 13 MP with AF and we can only assume the other two are 2 MP for portraits and macro shots. The selfie camera is behind a teardrop notch and has an 8MP sensor.

On the front there is a 6.82 ”LCD display with 720p resolution. The software is XOS 7.6, based on Android 11.
The phone features a 3.5mm audio jack, but also a microUSB port, which alone should be a problem for anyone in 2022. The battery capacity is 5,000mAh.
The Infinix Hot 12i is currently available in Nigeria in four colors: black, green, gold and blue. The price is NGN 61,800 ($ 150) for the 2 / 64GB variant and NGN 67,000 ($ 170) for the 3 / 64GB version.
The other two phones haven’t been named yet, but we can see that one of them will have dual cameras on the back, while the other will come with a triple shooter and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
