The iQOO Z7i smartphone debuted today as the first device with an entry-level Dimension 6020 chipset.
Mediatek Dimensity 6020 is built on the 7nm process and aims to power the next generation 5G entry-level smartphones. The platform has an octa-core CPU: two large 2.2GHz Cortex-A76 cores and six Cortex-A55 units clocked at 2GHz, while the GPU is Mali-G57.
The new chip supports LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, and its ISP can support cameras up to 64MP. It can work with FullHD+ displays with refresh rate up to 120Hz.
The iQOO Z7i in particular features a 6.51″ LCD with 720p resolution. Storage is 128GB, expandable via microSD cards, while RAM is available in 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB tiers There are two cameras on the back: a 13MP f/2.2 main camera and a 2MP f/2.4 macro camera, while the selfie camera inside the waterdrop notch has a 5MP sensor.
The phone runs OriginOS Ocean on top of Android 13. The battery has a capacity of 5,000mAh and a conservative 15W charging speed.

The iQOO Z7i is available in two colors: Moon Shadow Black and Ice Lake Blue. The 4/128GB variant is priced at CNY 949 ($137/€128), the 6/128GB variant is CNY 999 ($145/€135), and the 8/128GB variant costs CNY 1,099 ($160/€150). Sales will start on March 20, when the rest of the Z7 range will be officially presented.
