With the iPhone 14 out of the way, we now have the iPhone 15 series to look forward to. And a couple of famous Apple analysts – Ming Chi Kuo and Mark Gurman – have some interesting information to share. Kuo thinks Apple will reconsider its regular iPhone 15 and Pro lineups to boost sales in the increasingly competitive market.
Apple will reportedly create a greater feature disparity between the iPhone Pro series and the standard ones to give customers one more reason to opt for higher tier smartphones. This will increase the Pro shipments allocation and ultimately increase the average selling prices of the entire iPhone 15 family.
Additionally, Kuo predicts that Apple will create more differentiation within the Pro series itself, but he didn’t go into details. Gurman says the Pro Max naming scheme will be ditched in favor of “Ultra,” which makes sense given the high-end watch is Ultra and Apple is already using the Pro, Max, and Ultra tiers for its Mac series processors.
