Motorola today announced that it has released 5G enabling updates for the Edge 30 Ultra and Edge 30 Fusion in the past two days in India and nine more smartphones will receive it within the first week of November.
The update will enable 5G in SA (Reliance Jio) and NSA (Airtel and Vi) modes on Motorola smartphones so that users can experience 5G without interruption between operators.
Motorola Edge 30 Ultra
“Motorola 5G smartphones in India, across all categories, have hardware support for 11-13 5G bands including all 8 5G Sub 6 GHz bands that have been announced in India. We have already initiated the roll-out of OTA software updates to enable 5G in both 5G SA (Reliance Jio) and NSA (Airtel & Vi) modes, simultaneously on Motorola devices, allowing consumers to experience 5G seamlessly between operators. . Our updates on the recently launched Motorola edge 30 ultra and edge 30 fusion have already been launched and other Motorola 5G devices will receive the updates in the following weeks, aiming to complete by the first week of November 2022,“Motorola Asia Pacific Executive Director Prashanth Mani said in a press release.

Motorola isn’t the only brand rolling out updates to enable 5G on its smartphones in India. Samsung said it will release the update for its smartphones next month, while Apple will begin the iPhone rollout in December.
