Netflix revealed earlier this year that it is losing money as people from multiple families share accounts, even if it goes against its terms of service. We are now seeing the company’s plan to crack down on this.

Plans will receive a new “Add a home” option. It will allow the sharing of an account between multiple families with users paying extra for each home after the first.

The “Add a home” option is an evolution of “Add an additional member” which was pioneered in Chile, Costa Rica and Peru earlier this year. The feature will be tested in Argentina, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras.

Basic plan users will be able to add a home to their account, Standard up to two and Premium up to three extras. It will cost 219 ARS (approximately $ 1.60) per month in Argentina and $ 2.99 per month in other LATAM markets.

Netflix ensures it won’t interfere with your ability to watch on your device while traveling. Additionally, the account owner can always remove any additional homes at any time from the Settings page.
