Nvidia has announced the updated GeForce RTX 40 Super series of graphics cards, which will replace most of the existing non-Super counterparts in the company’s lineup.
The new series includes RTX 4080 Super, RTX 4070 Ti Super and RTX 4070 Super. Aside from the RTX 4070 Super, the other two models will replace their non-Super versions while the regular RTX 4070 will drop in price.
The big change with all these cards is the increase in the number of CUDA cores. The RTX 4080 Super gets 5.3% additional cores while the RTX 4070 Ti gets a much more significant increase of 10%. The RTX 4070, meanwhile, gets a substantial 22% increase.

The 4070 Ti also gets a memory boost, now featuring 16GB GDDR6X with a 256-bit wide memory bus, like the 4080 models. This gives a pretty substantial 33% boost to memory bandwidth. The 4080 Super also gets a slight increase in memory bandwidth by having higher clocked memory.
Other than that, there are no other changes to these GPUs and the power consumption figures are also largely similar.
Externally, the Founders Edition models of the RTX 4080 Super and RTX 4070 Super now feature a darker gunmetal finish on the metal chassis and darker branding. The RTX 4070 Ti Super doesn’t have an FE model yet and is only available through card partners.
The RTX 4080 Super will be available for $999, a substantial drop from the original model’s $1199 price. It will be available starting January 31st.
The RTX 4070 Ti Super and RTX 4070 Super will be available for the same $799 and $599 as the non-Super variants. They will be available starting January 24th and January 17th respectively. The RTX 4070 has been dropped to $549.
