The first OnePlus device of 2024 is here with the highly anticipated OnePlus Ace 3. The device was announced during a dedicated launch event in China and comes as a direct successor to last year’s Ace 2 with some key spec updates and up to to 1 TB of storage.

The Ace 3 features a 6.7-inch curved LTPO AMOLED with 1,240 x 2,772 px resolution and 1 to 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate. The BOE-made panel also offers up to 1,600 nits of brightness in Auto mode and up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness. The panel also boasts Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection and a punch-hole for the 16MP front camera.
OnePlus has maintained its design language that debuted on the OnePlus 11 with an aluminum frame and frosted glass back with a circular camera island that blends into the side frame. Ace 3 also gets the signature three-stage warning slider.
The rear houses a trio of cameras, including a main 50MP Sony IMX890 with OIS. The main shooter is joined by an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro camera. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset is at the helm paired with 12/16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
The software side is covered by ColorOS 14 based on Android 14 while the battery reaches 5,500 mAh and is equipped with 100W SuperVOOC fast charging which promises a full charge from 0 to 100% in 27 minutes.

OnePlus Ace 3 is available in black, blue and rose gold colors. Prices in China start from CNY 2,599 ($365) for the storage cut from 12/256 GB and goes up to CNY 3,499 ($493) for the version with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage space. Open sales in China start on January 15th.
