OnePlus will introduce the Buds 3 on January 4 alongside the Ace 3 smartphone. The design of the TWS earbuds was leaked earlier this year, and we can now confirm that the leak was correct: the Buds 3 will look a lot like the Buds Pro 2.
The new audio wearables also claim to deliver flagship audio quality thanks to dual drivers. OnePlus even released a chart saying the Buds 3 will be much better than an unnamed competitor in five key aspects.
Features of the OnePlus Buds 3
The dual design solution was part of the Buds Pro range and now non-Pros get it too. It will also have next-generation noise cancellation to provide better audio and call quality. At the same time, from a design perspective, the buds and case don’t appear to be anything new or revolutionary.
The OnePlus Buds 3 will have a near-perfect score across the board: 4.7 for bass, 4.8 for clarity, timbre and vocals, and 4.6 for spatial sound. The average is 4.74 out of 5, but remember that these tests were performed in OnePlus Labs and the rates mean nothing without significant context.
The company has already opened pre-orders, which basically notifies everyone when the product releases on Wednesday, and that’s when people will be able to pre-order the OnePlus Buds 3.
