Fresh from last week’s announcement, we have Realme Watch 3 in our office. Before our detailed analysis of the wearable, let’s introduce you to its main features.
Watch 3 serves as a direct successor to last year’s Realme Watch 2, an entry-level smartwatch (priced at ₹ 3,500 / ~ € 40) with an LCD touchscreen and the usual mix of health and sports monitoring. The new model gets a larger 1.8-inch screen even though its resolution has dropped to 240 x 286 pixels from the Watch 2’s 320 x 320 pixels. Maximum brightness is now 500 nits compared to the Dell model’s 600 nits. ‘Last year.
In terms of appearance, the Watch 3 features a boxy design on the case. The chassis looks like it’s made of metal, but it’s actually shiny plastic which has a gunmetal look on our black-colored test unit. The watch weighs 40 grams, which is comfortable enough even for longer periods of time. The supplied silicone strap feels nice on the wrist and you can always swap it for any standard 22mm strap.
A big plus for the Watch 3 is its built-in speaker that lets you answer Bluetooth calls right from your wrist. The retail package includes the watch along with its proprietary two-pin magnetic charger.
Realme claims the Watch 3 can last seven days between charges with regular use – we’ll make sure to test this claim in our full review along with the rest of its capabilities.
