Realme will launch the GT Neo5 with 240W charging on February 9 and is already preparing for the event with a series of teasers. An 8-second trailer showed off the camera design, confirming three shooters on a square island and what appears to be a purple LED light on the side.
The brand also shared details about fast charging. It will include a GaN adapter and 12A cable, with three separate charge pumps for the 10-cell design. TUV Rheinland has certified that the battery is safe and Realme has said that 30 seconds of charge will be enough for 2 hours of talk time.
Additionally, the battery is said to complete 1,600 full charge and discharge cycles without losing more than 20% of its capacity, which is double the industry standard of 800 cycles.
Charging teaser for Realme GT Neo5
The phone is expected to have a 50MP main camera with a Sony IMX890 sensor and OIS. It could be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, although rumors suggest a Dimension 8200 is also in the works for a cheaper alternative with “slower” 150W charging. Official launch is over a week away and we expect Realme to release more teasers in the days leading up to the event.
