A third member is added to the Redmi K70 and K70 Pro: the more convenient Redmi K70E. The base 12/256GB model is already available on Xiaomi’s web store in China at a price of CNY 2,000 (which converts to $280/€260/₹24,000). For comparison, the K70 (12/256 GB) costs CNY 2,500 and the K70 Pro (12/256 GB) costs CNY 3,300.

Unlike its siblings, the K70E is powered by a Dimensity 8300 Ultra, a 4nm chip with Cortex-A715 and A510 cores plus LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0 support. The phone makes use of this with its 8,533 Mbps (12 GB or 16 GB) and storage (256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB). The chipset is cooled via a 5,000 mm² stainless steel vapor chamber.

The E-phone also differs in its display: it is still a 6.67-inch panel, albeit with a lower resolution of 1,220 x 2,712 px. It’s still a high-quality panel with 12-bit calibrated colors (deltaE = 0.43), Dolby Vision support, and HDR10+. It has a 120Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate, plus high-frequency PWM dimming of 1,920Hz so you can gradually adjust the brightness, which peaks at 1,800 nits.

This model has 10% more battery capacity than its siblings, 5,500 mAh in total. And although the maximum charging speed is lower at 90W (up from 120W), it can still do a full 100% charge in 34 minutes. The Xiaomi P2 custom chip handles fast charging, the G1 takes care of battery life.

The camera is the part that suffers most from the low price. The main module has a small 64MP (1/2”) sensor and OIS, in addition to an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 120° angle and a macro cam. The main camera can record 4K videos at 30 fps and 1080p at 60 fps. There’s also a 16MP front-facing camera (with support for 1080p video capture at 60fps).

The Xiaomi Redmi K70E is available in three colors, which you can find on the company’s online store in China.

Three storage configurations are also available: 12GB/256GB for CNY 2,000, 12GB/512GB for CNY 2,200, and a fully loaded 16GB/1TB version for CNY 2,600.
PS. Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed it yet, but this model is expected to be renamed Poco X6 Pro for the global market.
