The Redmi Note 11T Pro recently unveiled by Redmi for the Chinese market had its first sale earlier today and was a great success. Redmi CEO Lu Weibing reports that the brand has managed to sell over 270,000 units in just one hour.
While I don’t go into detail, we assume that this means both the Note 11T Pro and Note 11T Pro + taken together. However, it is a really impressive result and it seems that the Chinese really like these phones. Hopefully this means that they will launch in other markets in the future as well, although at this point no one can guess if that will eventually happen and, if so, exactly what names they will show up under outside of China.
Xiaomi and Redmi really like to play with twisted names and also enjoy changing the branding of devices for different regions, so all bets are off.
Anyway, if you’re wondering what made the Note 11T Pro duo so successful in China, let’s quickly recap their specs. The Redmi Note 11T Pro has a 6.6-inch FHD + 144 Hz LCD touchscreen, Dimensity 8100 chipset at the helm, 6/8 GB of RAM, 128/256 GB of storage, a triple rear camera configuration (64 MP main, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP Macro), a 16MP selfie snapper, and a 5,080mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
The Pro + has an additional version with 512GB of storage and a smaller battery (4,400mAh) that charges much faster at 120W. Otherwise, it’s completely identical.
