Last week’s survey shows that Oppo’s Find X6 series could sell well in the global market, if indeed Oppo sells them (its future in Europe after 2023 looks uncertain). Both models have received strong support, despite their differences.

Or maybe because of their similarities: the cheaper Oppo Find X6 uses exactly the same periscope module as the Pro. While the rest of its hardware isn’t as impressive as the Pro, the vanilla model is also 25% cheaper than its sibling, so it’s an attractive option for those who can’t handle the Pro’s full price tag.

The Oppo Find X6 Pro enters the 1-inch arena with Hasselblad right behind it. We’re working on a detailed review, so we’ll be sharing our results from the camera tests soon.

This isn’t the first phone with a 1-inch sensor. Indeed, the Sony IMX989 is rapidly gaining ground. Where Oppo tries to distinguish itself is with the “three main cameras” approach that gives equal love to wide, ultrawide and telephoto modules.

As expected, there are some concerns about the Find X6 Pro’s price – we don’t know how much it might cost outside of China, but it and the rest of the 1-inch band are about as expensive as non-foldable phones. There’s less concern about the cost of the vanilla Find X6, of course, which is part of its appeal.

We’ll finish our review of the X6 Pro soon. After that, we’ll just have to wait and see if Oppo expands the availability of the Find X6 series to more markets.
