Samsung was fastest ever with updates to Android 13 this year, and surprisingly, the company plans to do even better next year. In the meantime, it is working to release the update to the new Android 13-based One UI 5 skin to all devices intended to receive it and finish all rollouts by the end of the year.
It’s a tall order indeed, but at this rate the Korean company will almost certainly be successful. Today two other devices have been equipped with One UI 5 and Android 13. We are talking about the Galaxy A52s 5G and the Galaxy M62.
Both the Galaxy A52 and A53 have already received the update, so the A52 has been left in an awkward position so far. Not anymore, though, as the rollout has now begun in Samsung’s native South Korea. It’s also a large rollout, going to unlocked models and carrier units.
The new firmware version is labeled A528NKSU1DVK2 and comes with the November 2022 security patch level. The download size is approximately 2GB. Hopefully, if all goes well in Korea, the update will arrive quickly in other countries in the next few days.
The Galaxy M62, on the other hand, is receiving the new software in Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam. The new build is labeled M625FXXU2CVK2 and it too carries the November 2022 security patch level. Again, we hope more countries get it very soon.
For any of the above devices, if you live in one of the territories where the update is rolling out and you haven’t received any notification about it, you can try to manually check by going to Settings > Software update and then tapping Download and install. You might just get lucky.
