Xiaomi is the king of the smartband space with the Mi Smart Band series and Samsung wants to take a piece of its pie. At least in theory, as the oft-leaked Galaxy Fit3 isn’t official yet. While we’ve heard rumors of it in 2022, things started to look up last November, so hopefully this means the launch is near, rather than far away.
Today the Galaxy Fit3 was leaked once again, this time by Samsung itself: someone accidentally posted these images, earlier than expected, on a regional Samsung website.
The Fit2 launched in 2020, so the Fit3 is late. Thankfully it will have a much larger screen than its predecessor, which it needs if it really wants to compete with Xiaomi in this space.
The Fit3 features a quick release mechanism to easily change straps. According to previously leaked information, it will have a 1.61-inch screen and weigh 21 grams. It is made of aluminum and will be offered with a grey, silver and rose gold case.
As you would expect, it will include heart rate monitoring, sleep monitoring, and a host of other sports-related things. It is said to last 13 days on a single charge of its 200mAh battery and will have 5W charging support.
