Samsung is preparing a Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, and it will be thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold6. It will also have a better camera, as leaker Evan Blass revealed, the new foldable will have a 200MP main sensor.

We expect the sensor to be the recently launched ISOCELL HP9. It’s not as good as the ISOCELL HP2 in the Galaxy S24 ultra, but it still features Tetra-pixel technology, 0.56μm pixels, and a 1/1.4″ size.

The new phone is expected to feature an 8-inch foldable panel, a 6.5-inch display, and a thickness of 10.6mm when folded. We’re also waiting to learn more about the chipset and battery technology and capacity, but that will come once the phone launches in September or October.

The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition will compete with the Magic V3 and Mix Fold 4, but it is rumored that this will only happen in Korea and China; Samsung has no plans to launch this foldable globally yet.
