Current expectations for the Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy S24 and S24+ are that they will support the same charging speeds as their 2023 predecessors: 45W for the Plus and Ultra, 25W for the vanilla S23. The two smaller models will have slightly larger batteries but only 100/200mAh.

Despite this, Samsung is working on new chargers, writes leaker Roland Quandt. The first will be the wired 50W Samsung Charger Duo. This will have two USB-C ports, so it’s likely to max out at 45W with one port in use and 2x 25W when both are in use. The model number of this charger is EP-T5020.

The other is an upgrade of Samsung’s 45W power supply (EP-T4510) known as the EP-T4511. It is not entirely clear what the differences will be, the charger should have a single USB-C port like the previous model.

The old T4510 supports USB PD 3.0 PDO and PPS, the new one doesn’t have much to add as USB PD 3.1 is mainly about higher power ranges (up to 240W), so it’s not necessary.

It goes without saying that these new chargers will be a separate purchase: like many other smartphone makers, Samsung no longer includes a charger in the box with its phones.
