Samsung is finally working to bring Continuous Updates to its phones. The feature, which premiered on the Pixel in 2016 and found in many Android phones, is yet to arrive on Galaxies. It allows you to install an update on partition B while using the phone in partition A, so once the update is complete you just need to reboot, instead of having the phone unavailable for the whole process.
Samsung is working on adding ongoing updates as part of OneUI 6 next year, according to an interview with Samsung Electronics Vice President Hyesoon Jeong (Sally).
Google has made seamless updates a mandatory feature for any phone that launches with Android 13, so it would be possible to expect the Galaxy S23 series to have the feature even before the OneUI 6 arrives by the end of next year. We will see.
Finally, in the interview, Sally stated that OneUI will not extend from phones to Chromebooks and TVs.
