Less than a month after receiving the previous update, Galaxy S22 family members received yet another update today. So far this is only intended for Snapdragon-powered Galaxy S22, S22 + and S22 Ultra drives, but those using Samsung’s Exynos chip should get it in the near future as well.
The new version is called S90xEXXU2AVE4 (where “x” changes depending on your phone) and is already available in a dozen countries as a 350MB over-the-air download. The update brings with it various unnamed security fixes, as well as improvements to “general feature stability”, according to the very mysterious and vague change log.
Mid-month updates like these are rare for Samsung, so the company must have found something worth fixing asap and don’t wait until the June security patches are available in a couple of weeks or so.
If you have an S22, S22 + or S22 Ultra with Snapdragon and haven’t received the update notification for it yet, you can check manually by going to Settings> Software update.
