Samsung is making announcement after announcement at CES 2024 in Las Vegas. One of the products presented at the fair was a transparent micro LED display that “blurs the boundaries between content and reality”.
The panel has a transparent display that lets you view content and also see what’s going on behind the screen, and there’s even a short video to give you a better idea.
The product is the result of six years of research and development, Samsung said.
The company is currently selling a 110-inch non-transparent microLED TV for $150,000, so even if it were feasible, it will be a while before the new technology hits the market at a (fairly) reasonable price.
