Tecno presented the Phantom X2 series in Dubai, United Arab Emirates in the last weeks of last year. Now, the vanilla Phantom X2 has arrived in India and is already available for pre-order on Amazon in both colors – Stardust Gray and Moonlight Silver.
Indian customers can have the Phantom X2 with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for INR 39,999, or about $485 or €455.
Tecno has proudly announced that the Phantom X2 is the first Dimension 9000 smartphone in India costing less than ₹40,000. The SoC also has 5G, making the device future-proof for when next-generation connectivity reaches a wider reach than the current experimental reach.
Arijeet Talapatra, CEO of Tecno Mobile India, said in a press release that the Phantom X2 aims to redefine the high-end experience in an affordable way. It’s a smartphone “made for zillenials” who want to own an aesthetically pleasing device with top-notch technology.
When we reviewed the phone, we determined that it stands out with its looks. It also has solid track record with all-round camera and battery life and this was in the context of its much higher price point in the Middle East, which was the only one known at the time. The phone offers much better value in India, where it costs nearly half.
Pre-orders end on January 9, when the official sales begin. Tecno will also offer Phantom X2 in various offline stores. The first 100 people who pre-order the phone on Amazon and the first 200 who do so in physical locations will receive a free upgrade to the Phantom X3 whenever the new phone arrives.
