vivo is busy working on a new series of mid-range smartphones for the Indian market, and some details on the launch timeline were released today. We’re talking about the V27 family, which unsurprisingly will be launched to succeed the V25 series.
According to a new report allegedly from “industry sources”, the vivo V27 line will launch in India in February 2023. The family will include three models: V27, V27 Pro and V27e. Of these, only the first two will be introduced in February. The V27e, which will likely be the cheapest of the bunch, will follow at a later date.
vivo V25 and V25 Pro
While there have been no other leaks on the V27 models so far, this report says we should expect “noticeable improvements” in design and hardware specs, which sounds exciting. Apparently, MediaTek Dimensity chipsets will power the trio.
Hopefully more details will follow, now that the proverbial floodgates appear to have opened. It is worth noting that vivo made the V25 series official this August, so if the V27 line arrives in February it will be exactly six months later. This is a dizzying launch cadence and it remains to be seen whether those promised updates will justify such a timely succession.
In other vivo related news, the V25 4G is said to be launched in India in the middle of this month. It is expected to be identical to the vivo V25e 4G which made its global debut in August.
