The nubia Z60 Ultra is official: it is a flagship with a unique camera system and, for the first time on a device produced by ZTE, IP68 water and dust protection.
The nubia Z60 Ultra continues the edgy design of recent nubia phones like the Z50S Pro. At the front there is a 6.8-inch flat AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1,500 nits and a 120 Hz refresh rate. panel supports a peak sampling rate of 1,200 Hz and PWM dimming of 2,160 Hz. Embedded beneath the display is a 12 MP under-display camera with 2.24 μm pixels and a pixel density of 400 ppi. The UDC camera has its own display chip and AI deep detection engine.
The nubia Z60 Ultra has the latest Snapdragon 8 gen 3 chip paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Being a nubia you’d imagine there are some gaming-centric improvements, and you’d be right: inside there’s an aerospace-grade heat plate, a large vapor chamber with superconducting nanocarbon fiber. The phone has a dedicated gaming space and technologies such as Super frame stabilization.
The cameras are a strong point of the Z60 Ultra. The main camera has a 50MP 1/1.49-inch IMX800 sensor and a 35mm f/1.6 optically stabilized lens on top – essentially the same hardware we loved on the nubia Z50S Pro.
For wider shots, the Z60 Ultra packs an 18mm f/1.8 ultrawide with autofocus and 3-level optical stabilization, a unique feature of this type of lens. The sensor behind the ultrawide is a large 1/1.56-inch 50MP unit.
The zoom camera is an 85mm unit with OIS and the popular 64MP 1/2.0-inch OmniVision OV64B imager.
The nubia Z60 Ultra is powered by a 6,000 mAh battery with 80W charging. The phone runs Android 14 plus nubia’s MyOS.
You’ll be able to get the nubia Z60 Ultra in black, silver or gray and in four configurations: 8/256GB, 12/256GB, 12/512GB and 16GB/1TB. The price will be revealed soon.
