A Weibo post has leaked an official poster for Huawei’s upcoming Nova 12 duo, revealing quite a bit about the Nova 12 and Nova 12 Pro. The latter is particularly interesting as it runs on a Kirin 9000S chipset, which also powers the Mate family 60.
The Nova 12 Pro also boasts a 120Hz curved OLED panel with second-generation Kunlun protection. A 4,900mAh battery will keep the lights on with support for 100W charging.
Leaked Poster for Nova Family 12
On the back we find a 50 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultrawide camera with autofocus and macro mode and a 50 MP telephoto lens. The feature list includes a 10-step variable aperture adjustment, but we’re not sure if this is just a software implementation or a true variable aperture lens. The two lenses depicted on the front of the device are presumably two 60MP ultrawide selfie snappers.
The Vanilla Nova 12, on the other hand, makes do with a Kirin 830 SoC, skips one of the 60MP cameras on the front, adopts the same 120Hz curved OLED screen, and replaces the 50MP telephoto lens on the back with a more modest 8 MP unit. The battery capacity is 4,800 mAh with support for 88W charging.
According to the tipster, the Nova 12 series will start at CNY 2,999 ($410), but there’s no word on availability.
