The arrival of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is expected soon and today we saw the glass cover of the camera island, revealing that only the sensors will be new: the overall design will be the same as the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.
According to the image, the main camera will have a brighter f/1.6 aperture, while the periscope telephoto lens will have an f/2.5 lens in front. The camera will once again be supplied with Leica tuning.
Xiaomi loves to change the look of its flagships from one generation to the next, and since the Ultra moniker has been part of the portfolio, we haven’t seen a repeat of the design. This means that either the leak is not real or Xiaomi is extremely satisfied with the work done last year; she decided for once not to fix what isn’t broken.
If this is the truth, we expect a Sony LYT-900 sensor with variable aperture for the main camera, as previously reported. The biggest unknown is whether the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will be a globally available phone or whether the company will disappoint its fans by launching the phone exclusively in China, as it did with the 11 Ultra and 12S Ultra.
