Week 18 saw the official debut of a number of exciting phones and it’s no wonder our trend chart is very different from last week.
The Samsung Galaxy A54 has been dropped for only the second time since it became official in mid-March. In fact, it has been overtaken by four of the new phones and is now in fifth position.
It was the Poco F5 that finished on top this week, edging out the Sony Xperia 1 V. Sony’s flagship struggled a lot, but the fact that the Xiaomi phone had a two-day lead proved to be decisive.
The Poco F5 Pro took the bronze medal, while Google’s new mid-ranger, the Pixel 7a, narrowly missed out on the podium and finished fourth.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is right behind the Galaxy A54 in sixth place, followed by the duo Redmi Note 12 – Pro in seventh and vanilla in eighth.
The iPhone 14 Pro Max is the only Apple phone in the top 10, occupying ninth position, while Sony’s new mid-range Xperia 10 V took last place.
That means we’re missing out on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Samsung’s pair of A34 and S23, as well as representatives from Tecno and Realme from last week. Of course, once the hype around the new announcements subsides, at least some of them will return, but which ones? And does the Galaxy A54 have enough in the tank to stage another return to the top? We’ll find out next week.
