The iQOO 12 series will arrive on November 7 and today the vivo brand revealed that the duo will feature a new design, a periscope camera for 100x combined zoom and a new iQOO Q1 gaming chip. A couple of practical images have also emerged.
We know that a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset will power the Pro member of the duo, but it’s unclear whether the vanilla chipset will share the chipset. The collaboration with BMW Motorosport will also continue for this generation, as is evident from the official teaser.

A vice president from vivo has shared his thoughts on the new phones. According to Jia Jingdong, the company’s branding manager in China, iQOO’s roots are in online gaming and the devices will always be about performance. vivo has developed the Q1 chip, which is designed specifically to support the game engine, although no details were provided on what exactly it does.
It is said to offer “super image resolution” and “ultra-high refresh rate”, while the device itself would have a quad-zone cooling system.
The executive also revealed that the iQOO 12 phone’s main camera will have a 1/1.3-inch sensor, while the ultrawide and telephoto lenses will also be significantly improved.
The images revealed that the two members of the series will have different designs: one will have flat sides, while the other will have slightly curved edges. The white Legend version with BMW M branding will have a glass panel, but there is also a black option with a sandstone-like look, said to be fluorite AG glass, similar to the vivo V23 and V25 finish, and a red striated leather variant (probably vegan).
The Black has appeared in hands-on images, and while it doesn’t look like plastic, it’s definitely not a typical glass panel either.
