Asus launches the Zenfone 9 today, more than a year after the last flagship. The event starts at 9:00 am New York time / 3:00 pm Berlin time / 9:00 pm Taipei time and will be streamed live on YouTube.
You can watch it with us as we expect to see the compact Zenfone 9 make an appearance with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. It looks like we won’t have a bigger flagship with a flip camera this year, as the voice is completely silent on the question.
The device has already leaked on a retailer’s website, from which we learned that it will be substantially lighter than its predecessor – just 165 grams. The screen is said to be under 6 inches with Full HD + resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and a hole in the top left corner.
The listing suggested a starting price of around $ 810 / € 800 for an 8 / 128GB variant. The Zenfone 9 will come in at least four colors: black, blue, red, and white, all with a sandstone finish, according to renderings.
