Week 32 was probably the most exciting of this year with lots of high profile announcements.
OnePlus kicked things off with Ace Pro, the China-exclusive version of the OnePlus 10T that debuted last week.
Things then really picked up on Tuesday with the unpacked Samsung event that brought us the company’s latest leaflets: Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4. The Fold4 cuts the bezels and reduces the overall body height, switching to a less tall screen appearance. The new 50MP main cameras and 10MP 3x telephoto lens are its most notable upgrades.
The Galaxy Z Flip4 also optimizes the screen-to-body ratio, brings a long-awaited upgrade to its main camera, and a larger battery with faster charging.
Apart from these two, Samsung also unveiled its flagship Galaxy Watch5 and Watch5 Pro smartwatches and the premium TWS Buds2 Pro earbuds.
We received another leaflet on Wednesday, this time from Motorola. The Razr 2022 finally moves the series to a flagship chipset with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and loses the unsightly notch on intuition. Along with Motorola, it also announced the X30 Pro with a 200MP camera and the upper mid-range S30 Pro.
Finally it was Xiaomi’s turn to amaze. The Mix Fold 2 is a truly gorgeous foldable with a super slim body, capable camera setup, and fast charging. It came along with the Redmi K50 Ultra, which offers Qualcomm’s latest and greatest chipset at an incredible price. Unfortunately, it is still unclear whether either of these two will ever be available outside of China.
