Last week’s survey shows that people are excited about the OnePlus 12. However, just like with the OnePlus 11, many people are waiting to see how the phone performs in reviews. But the 12 already looks better than its predecessor, with most people already planning to buy it once it becomes available or (as mentioned) waiting to see if OnePlus’ promises for its new flagships will hold up during the review process.
That’s not to say the phone is free from critics. Predictably, some consider it too big. And we’ve seen more than a few comments from people unhappy with the curved screen. Some time ago OnePlus abandoned its vanilla/pro dual launch strategy and is only releasing professional flagships (even if they are no longer called that). Even a smaller OnePlus 12 with a flat display, what would have been the vanilla model in previous years, could have found an audience. But now it’s the turn of the 12th or one of the Nords.
There have been other complaints, such as why this flagship doesn’t have an IP68 rating? However, most people find the phone offers great value for money; only a few consider it too expensive.
Of course, we haven’t seen global pricing for the OnePlus 12 yet, with launch expected next year. But OnePlus shouldn’t put it off for long, there’s already a long list of capable flagships and there are more on the way (with Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series being mentioned quite often).
