Xiaomi’s Mobile Product Manager recently anticipated that a new smartphone is on the way and now there is growing evidence that it could be the Xiaomi Civi 2, a successor to Xiaomi Civi launched exactly one year ago.
Reports indicate that the Civi 2 will be ready to launch as early as this month and will sport the brand new Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. For reference, the Civi had a Snapdragon 778G on board, so check it out. The phone has already passed the Chinese 3C authority with the model number 2209129SC.
A Chinese whistleblower revealed that the phone will sport a 6.56-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. A 4,500mAh battery will keep the lights on with 67W fast charging support.
The device will offer a 50MP main camera with OIS support, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP shooter, likely for macro photography.
