Xiaomi recently unveiled the Redmi Note 13 5G and we just received a unit in the office to review. But before we start our review process, let’s unbox the Redmi Note 13 5G and see what’s on offer.
We have the Ocean Teal version of the Redmi Note 13 5G, which comes in a white-colored package, including a protective case, a charging cable, a 33W power adapter and a SIM ejector tool.
The Redmi Note 13 5G is powered by the Dimensity 6080 SoC, has up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage, and runs MIUI 14 based on Android 13 out of the box. It is built around a 6.67-inch FullHD+ 120Hz AMOLED screen protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The display also has a centered punch-hole for the 16MP selfie camera but does not have a fingerprint scanner underneath as it is embedded in the power button .
Turn the phone over and you see a square-shaped photo island that houses an LED flash and three cameras: 108MP primary, 8MP ultrawide, and 2MP depth. The Redmi Note 13 5G is IP54 rated and has a flat design, which some may not find ergonomic enough.
Powering the entire package is a 5,000mAh battery that draws power through a USB-C port at up to 33W. The smartphone also features a 3.5mm headphone jack, an IR blaster, and an NFC chip, which depends on the market.
We’ll begin our review process shortly, so stick around to find out how the Redmi Note 13 5G performed.
