Every year millions of people flock online and into stores to buy the next Redmi Note smartphone. And this year we imagine it will be no different with the latest Redmi Note 13 Pro as it once again presents itself as one of the best ‘value for money’ phones on the market.
In typical Xiaomi style, the manufacturer has made the series a bit confusing and overcrowded. There are non-Pro 4G and 5G versions, Pro 5G and 4G models, and there’s also a 5G Pro+. Today we will explore the phone that is proving to be the most popular among them: the Redmi Note 13 Pro (5G).
The latest Redmi Note 13 Pro introduces good upgrades over the Redmi Note 12 Pro: an improved display with higher resolution, higher brightness and more colors; there’s also a faster chipset, more storage options, and a better main camera.
The specifications of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro in brief:

In fact, the Redmi Note 13 Pro has an IP54 protection rating and offers a 6.67-inch OLED with 1220p resolution, with 12-bit color depth, up to 1,800 nits of peak brightness and 120 Hz refresh rate. It is a panel that supports both Dolby Vision and HDR10+ content and is protected by a Gorilla Glass Victus sheet.
The new chipset responsible for everything is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 and you can pair it with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.
The main camera now uses a 200MP Samsung sensor with OIS and should provide improved photos and videos compared to the previous generation. The 8 MP ultrawide, 2 MP macro and 16 MP selfie images remain unchanged.
Another update is the under-display fingerprint scanner – a first for the global Redmi series – which until now was placed on the power/lock button. However, we would like to see it a little further from the bottom edge of the screen.
The Redmi Note 13 Pro also features Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, a 5,100mAh battery with 67W fast charging, and boots Android 13 with MIUI 14. It will get HyperOS later.
Well, it would have been nice to have an IP68-rated design like the Redmi Note 13 Pro+, but even with IP54, the phone should be protected well enough to survive rain or even the occasional splash of water.
Unboxing of the Redmi Note 13 Pro
The Redmi Note 13 Pro arrives inside a thick white paper box. It contains the phone, a 67W power adapter, and a 6A USB-AC cable. A protective case is also part of the package.
The Note 13 Pro comes with a thin film applied over the screen, which will offer enough protection against scratches while being a huge smudge magnet.
