Learn about SBMARK visualization tests: For scoring and analysis in our smartphone and other display reviews, SBMARK engineers perform a series of objective and perceptual tests in controlled laboratory and under real-life conditions. This article highlights the most important results of our tests. Please note that we evaluate display attributes using only the device’s built-in display hardware and related still image (gallery) and video apps with default settings. (For in-depth information on how we rate smartphones and other displays, see our articles, “How SBMARK Tests Display Quality” and “A Closer Look at SBMARK Display Tests.”)
Test summary
Pros
- Faithful color rendering in the most tested conditions
- Generally fluid both in the gallery and during video games
- Well-defined lines when playing video games
Cons
- Difficult to read in the sunlight
- Video rendering lacks brightness and dark tones
- Show some ghost touches when playing video games
The Realme GT 5G achieved respectable mid-range performance in our Display protocol tests. While it may be brighter overall for both readability and video, it renders color well and offers smooth scrolling and gaming experiences.
The brightness of the Realme GT 5G is too low in outdoor conditions and its readability is also affected when looking at the phone at an angle. Seen inside, the device is bright enough despite a slight pinkish tinge …

The left graph below shows the color fidelity of the Realme GT 5G in the P3 color space. The center of each circle is the target color; The further the arrowhead is outside the circle, the more users will notice the difference between the color on the display and the original color of the source material. The scatter chart on the right shows the Realme device’s pink-blue oscillations when held at different angles, which appear almost iridescent on the screen.

The video brightness of the Realme GT 5G is slightly low. Some dark details are missing, and the midtone contrast may be more pronounced. As shown below, the Realme device displays saturation on vivid colors in HDR10 content.

The Realme GT 5G exhibits some frame drops at 30fps and 60fps, but no frame drops are visible during games; Furthermore, it does not show duplication of frames and appears sharp on moving objects. After jumping forward or backward in the timeline, the GT 5G pauses slightly before resuming video playback.
The GT 5G is accurate when zooming in on the gallery app. When gaming, the device is fluid and every area of the screen is responsive, with generally good accuracy.
The Realme device shows a flicker, as does the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G:
The Realme GT 5G responds frequently to ghost touches and aliasing is slightly visible during gameplay. However, the device is well suited for a comfortable gaming experience.
